Significance

At the beginning of 2020, an unexpected epidemic swept the whole country and even the world. The COVID-19, which has the fastest speed of transmission, the most extensive infection and the most difficult control, is the most common public health event in China since the founding of People’s Republic of China. The epidemic prevention and control have made significant strategic achievements through the extremely hard and bitter efforts and sacrifices of the whole nation and the masses

As an indispensable part of the market economy system, associations  play an important role as a bridge and link in the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, resumption of work and stable economic operation. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, various industrial associations have resolutely implemented the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, and while doing well in epidemic prevention and control, they have made important contributions to organizing and mobilizing enterprises to make decisions on the production of medical protection materials, supply and guarantee of people's livelihood materials, participation in the construction of special hospitals, donations and materials, and putting forward policy suggestions.

In this context, the 2020 China Congress of Association and Chamber of Commerce is tentatively scheduled to be held online on September 2 & 3. At the same time, ICCA is invited as a partner of  the congress, which improved the internationalization of the congress.

The congress will invite 200 domestic associations, 10 international associations, 20 national or city convention & exhibition bureaus, tourism bureaus, MICE associations, 20 national or city investment promotion bureaus, commercial bureaus, CCPIT chapters, and 50 international and domestic association meeting management  service providers to participate.. The congress will share and discuss issues of concern of social organizations and enterprises under the normalized epidemic prevention and control background, which include the role of associations in the resumption of work and production, experience sharing between international associations and domestic associations, etc. In this special period, let us "work together, fight together and make steady progress".
